The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and brightening morning, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
