The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- 2 and when the earth is leveled, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality). 5 O man! verily thou art toiling toward thy Lord a painful toiling, and art about to meet Him. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 His account shall presently be taken by an easy reckoning. 8 and will return rejoicing to his family. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 BUT NAY! I call to witness the sunset's [fleeting] afterglow, 16 And the night and all it gathers, 17 And [by] the moon when it becomes full 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 So, what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it). 22 but God knows best whatever they accumulate in their hearts. 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 except those that believe, and do righteous deeds -- theirs shall be a wage unfailing. 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
