Hast thou not seen how We sent the Satans against the unbelievers, to prick them? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And drive the guilty towards hell, thirsty. 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 As it is, some assert, "The Most Gracious has taken unto Himself a son 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, 90 that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; 91 And it is not worthy of the Beneficent Allah that He should take (to Himself) a son. 92 Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant. 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (Allah) Most Gracious bestow love. 96 So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. 97 And how many a generation We destroyed before them! Dost thou perceive so much as one of them, or hear of them a whisper? 98
