۞ Say: "I counsel you one thing only: Be [ever conscious of] standing before God, whether you are in the company of others or alone; and then bethink yourselves [that] there is no madness in [this prophet,] your fellow-man: he is only a warner to you of suffering severe to come." 46 Say, "If I have asked you for any recompense, you can keep it. It is God alone who will reward me: He is the witness of all things." 47 Say: "My Lord casts the truth: He is the knower of things unknown." 48 Say. 'Truth has come; falsehood originates not, nor brings again.' 49 Say: "If (even) I go astray, I shall stray only to my own loss. But if I remain guided, it is because of the Inspiration of my Lord to me. Truly, He is AllHearer, Ever Near (to all things)." 50 If thou couldst but see when they will quake with terror; but then there will be no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a position (quite) near. 51 and then they will say, "We have faith in the Quran." How can they have any faith when they are far away from this world. 52 seeing they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a place far away? 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
