▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
By the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning for people -- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
