The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 So We will very soon provide him ease. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 I have warned you then about a raging Fire: 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 one who gives his wealth to become purified, 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
