O you who believe, seek courage in fortitude and prayer, for God is with those who are patient and persevere. 153 And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. 154 And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, 155 Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture - those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse, 159 Excepted, however, shall be they that repent, and put themselves to rights, and make known the truth: and it is they whose repentance I shall accept - for I alone am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Dispenser of Grace. 160 Surely those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, these it is on whom is the curse of Allah and the angels and men all; 161 Their punishment shall not be lightened, nor shall they be reprieved. 162 Your God is One God. There is no god except He. He is the Merciful, the Most Merciful. 163
