The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
