The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
