O Prophet! Command your wives and your daughters and the women of the Muslims to cover their faces with a part of their cloaks; this is closer to their being recognised and not being harassed; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. (It is incumbent upon women to cover themselves properly.) 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease and the raisers of commotion in Madina desist not, We shall surely set thee up against them; thenceforth they shall not be suffered to neighbour thee therein except for a little while. 60 Cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a (horrible) murdering. 61 Such has been the way of Allah with those who have passed before them, and you shall find no change in the ways of Allah. 62 Men ask thee of the Hour. Say: The knowledge of it is with Allah only. What can convey (the knowledge) unto thee? It may be that the Hour is nigh. 63 Lo! Allah hath cursed the disbelievers, and hath prepared for them a flaming fire, 64 therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protector will they find, and none to bring them succour. 65 The day their faces would be turned on the fire (as on a spit), they will say: "Alas! If only we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Prophet." 66 They will say, "Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and elders and they caused us to go astray. 67 O our Sustainer! Give them double suffering, and banish them utterly from Thy grace!" 68
