And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
