Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
