Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
