The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A multitude of those of old 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and continuous shade, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 and made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
