Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24

Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. 100 Those townships! We recount unto thee some tidings thereof. Assuredly there came unto them their apostles with evidences, but they were not such as to believe that which they had erst belied. Thus doth Allah put a seal upon the hearts of the infidels. 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 After them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. But they willfully rejected them. Consider the end of the evil-doers. 103 Moses said, 'Pharaoh, I am a Messenger from the Lord of all Being, 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 So Moses threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest. 107 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. 108
