Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
