Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
