The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul of the disbeliever. 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day the convulsive first blast shatters convulsively 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They said, "So this return is an obvious loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And then said, "I am your most supreme lord." 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
