Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and the smooth runners 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
