Al-Najm 3 of 3
Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
