He it is Who hath made the earth subservient unto you, so Walk in the paths thereof and eat of His providence. And unto Him will be the resurrection (of the dead). 15 Do you feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to sink beneath you and then begin to quake? 16 Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not loose against you a squall of pebbles then you shall know how was My warning. 17 Those who lived before them had also rejected Our warning, and how terrible was Our retribution! 18 Do they not see the birds above them spreading and closing their wings? None save the Merciful sustains them. Surely, He observes all things. 19 Do you have any armies who will help you against the Beneficent God? The disbelievers are certainly deceived (by satan). 20 Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion. 21 Will he find the way who grovels flat on his face, or he who walks straight on the right path? 22 Say: “He it is Who has brought you into being, and has given you hearing and sight, and has given you hearts to think and understand. How seldom do you give thanks!” 23 Say: "It is He Who has created you from the earth, and to Him shall you be gathered (in the Hereafter)." 24 They say, "When will this torment take place if what you say is true?" 25 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; and I am only a plain warner." 26 But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which ye used to call. 27 Say thou: bethink ye if Allah destroy me and those with me; or have mercy on us, who will protect the infidels from a torment afflictive? 28 Say, "He is the Most Gracious: we believe in Him and we put our trust in Him. You will soon come to know who is in evident error." 29 Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water? 30
