The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and the day as it rises bright! 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 I therefore warn you of the fire that is ablaze. 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
