The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in extended columns. 9
