Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. 28 And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 29 All the angels prostrated themselves, 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 And surely on you is curse until the day of judgment. 35 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 "Till the predetermined time." 38 He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one, 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 Gehenna (Hell) will be the promise for all of them. 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44
