And recite to them the tiding of Abraham 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They replied, "We worship idols and shall continue to worship them". 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 or do they profit you, or harm?' 73 They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus." 74 He said, “Do you see these – (the idols) whom you worship?” 75 and what your grandfathers worshipped 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 Who created me, and He doth guide me, 78 "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 and He who will, I hope, forgive me my faults on the Day of the Judgement. 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 Make my words come true in the future. 84 "Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 and forgive my father, for he was among the astray. 86 and do not disgrace me on the Day when all people are resurrected, 87 the Day when wealth and sons will be of no avail, 88 except for him who comes to God with a pure heart. 89 "To the righteous, the Garden will be brought near, 90 whereas the blazing fire will be laid open before those who had been lost in grievous error; 91 They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped 92 "'Besides Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?' 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 And the hosts of Iblis all together. 95 They will dispute between themselves therein, and will say, 96 "We were clearly misguided 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of all Being. 98 It is none but those steeped in guilt who led us into this error, 99 Now we have no intercessors, 100 “Nor a caring friend.” 101 "'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'" 102 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 103 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 104
