Hizb 38
< random >
And Nuh's people belied the sent ones. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
