And those who disbelieve say: "When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not grieve over them, and do not be distressed by what they contrive. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to pass against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth that shall wound them, because people did not believe in Our communications. 82

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
