And whoever is averse to the Remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint a devil upon him, who stays with him. 36 Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright! 37 Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade! 38 Because of the harm you did, it would be of no benefit to you today, you are partners in the punishment. 39 CANST THOU, perchance, [O Muhammad,] make the deaf hear, or show the right way to the blind or to such as are obviously lost in error? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them. 42 So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the right path, 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 And ask them – did any of the Noble Messengers We sent before you, appoint any other Gods except the Most Gracious, whom they used to worship? 45
