No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 Warn the men. 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What took you into the hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 "Nor used to feed the needy." 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until death approached us". 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
