Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 no one will be able to intercede for the others except those whom the Beneficent God has given authority. 87 They say: "God has begotten a son." 88 Surely you have made a monstrous statement. 89 The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 And it is not worthy of the Beneficent Allah that He should take (to Himself) a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. 93 indeed, He has full cognizance of them, and has numbered them with [unfailing] numbering; 94 Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. 95 VERILY, those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds will the Most Gracious endow with love: 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
