And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
