Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
