Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 [Long] before those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people give the lie to this truth, and [so did] the folk of Ar-Rass, and [the tribes of] Thamud 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
