The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
