Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
