Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
