Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
