The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning hours 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
