The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
