Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
YA SIN. 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 pursuing a straight way 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 It is the same whether you have warned them or you have not warned them, they do not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
