Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
