(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
