Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
