The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
