Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
