۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 They can only return to hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
