Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
