And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
