Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
