Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
